Overview
Purpose of the role
Iberia Engine Shop powerplant engineer will be accountable to develop, implement and monitor the engineering procedures to improve them in terms of TAT, quality or cost.
This position will manage the projects related to update, develop and optimize all engineering instructions in the assigned engine product setting the appropriate milestones and coordinating with all stakeholders.
This role will own and lead the technical support to the shop floor and the technical aspects of the assigned engine model, maintaining relations with the OEM, main customers, aeronautical authorities, and providers in the technical and economical (contracts and guarantees) areas.
Key milestones & challenge
- Identify, plan and develop the update of current engineering documentation.
- Lead, identify and set the milestones needed for the introduction of new engineering documentation for any new configuration.
- Explore and approve alternative tooling for current or future engineering instructions.
Accountabilities
Process engineer
- Redesign the shop processes looking for the shop's achievement in terms of TAT and cost.
- Improve engineering processes in order to standardize and automate them, leading to increase the quality standards and reduce times.
- To lead the shop engineering activities.
- To standardize documentation and procedures along different engine models.
Qualifications
- Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering
- Fluent in English, minimum B2 or 785 TOEIC

Experience
- Engine technical knowledge
- Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering within MRO or equivalent.
