Job Description:
Amazon’s Senior Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from operational teams fulfilling customer orders to retail teams and others. Your goal will be to optimize our supply chains to enhance customer experience and improve energy and cost efficiency.
Key job responsibilities include:
* Leading the weekly business review of RLB throughout the year.
* Managing RLB demand planning for high-volume events and disruptions to ensure network capacity.
* Collaborating with various Amazon business units to understand plan interactions and impacts.
* Working with the Surface Transportation Scheduling and Forecasting team on critical business topics.
* Identifying root causes of failures and implementing systematic solutions.
* Deep diving into issues, understanding stakeholder contributions, and maintaining a big-picture perspective.
* Providing operational updates on risks and opportunities to RLB capacity.
* Working with the Forecasting team to ensure RLB performance.
* Solving problems in the short and long term.
* Developing automations, data pipelines, and dashboards for planning.
* Sharing updates with leadership on risks and mitigation strategies.
A typical day involves problem-solving, coordinating with teams, resolving issues, and planning for future projects. The role offers variety, from defining supply chain models to resource planning during busy periods. Flexibility regarding location or remote work may be available.
About the team:
Relay Load Board (RLB) is a key component of Amazon's middle-mile network, handling a significant share of transportation volume and managing disruptions to ensure customer satisfaction.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* A degree.
* Experience analyzing data and creating reports for leadership.
* Experience communicating with stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
* Managing multiple projects with deadlines.
* Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
* Proficiency with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Excel).
* Defining program requirements and using data to improve processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in supply chain planning, project management, or related fields.
* Degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or an MBA.
* Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or transportation planning.
* Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight).
