The opportunity The Associate Director (AD) will lead EY's Office Connect Team (Engineering and Delivery). This includes managing a global team responsible for validating and implementing designs, lab testing, product certifications including updates, and overseeing delivery of services to Member Firms. The AD is accountable for delivery excellence, leveraging project management best practices (SPI/CPI), ensuring business requirements are met and providing industry-leading technical solutions within allocated budgets. The AD will collaborate and develop a cross-functional strategy with the network organization, Information Security (Infosec), Supply Chain Services, Legal, and approved vendors to deliver Wi-Fi technology solutions that meet technical standards and business requirements. Solutions will be supported by organizations including WAN, Telephony, LAN, WLAN, Data Centers (DC) and Office Solutions. In addition, the AD will provide consulting to other teams and act as an escalation point for operational issues.
Your Key Responsibilities Functional Responsibilities:
Technical Lead for all global Wi‐Fi designs
Strategic thinker with an understanding of EY end-user business requirements
Delivery expert ensuring solutions are fully tested, documented and represent industry-leading outcomes
Forward thinking – understands current and next-generation technologies
Experience in managing global teams and suppliers
Risk management with mitigation strategies and continuous improvement for the firm
Leadership in advanced network monitoring tools and AI
Experience in program management, product development, piloting, testing, global deployment and post-implementation validations
Management Responsibilities:
Lead Global Engineering and Deployment team
Develop relationships with approved suppliers/equipment manufacturers
Collaborate with business leaders and Member Firms/Partners on innovative solutions aligned to business requirements
Present industry-leading technological advancements that drive quality of services and deliver secure services aligned with continuous improvements strategy for end-user performance (SLAs, KPIs, AI and Advanced Monitoring)
Knowledge required for disciplines:
15+ years of experience leading Network Design and Architecture teams, with a focus on customer experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related discipline; industry accreditation or equivalent work experience. Master's degree preferred (MS/MBA)
Advanced skills in planning, designing and troubleshooting complex network environments
Customer focus grounded in openness, trust, and delivering on promises
Time management skills to handle multiple large, complex projects
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills across matrixed client, supplier, and geographically dispersed teams
Data-guided, analytical approach with the ability to translate insights into action
Excellent understanding of Office Connect product portfolio and ability to facilitate growth and adoption across regions
Ability to communicate complex technical information to a diverse business audience
Experience developing, managing, and presenting business cases and strategic plans
Knowledge beyond the job:
Industry certifications such as CCNA R&S, CCNP R&S, CCNA Wireless, CCNP, Meraki Wireless, or equivalent knowledge
Flexibility to adapt to multiple demands and rapid change
Ability to work with diverse teams inside and outside IT to balance business demands
Ability to handle escalations and difficult situations under pressure
Ability to work in virtual cross-cultural, cross-border global teams
English language skills – excellent written and verbal communication
Problem Solving:
Apply deep technical knowledge to drive innovation and resolve problems, minimizing outages
Manage complex global Wi-Fi engineering, delivery and RF-related influences on service quality
Act as final escalation point for network-related problems
Validate Office Connect solutions against industry best practices and sound engineering principles, incorporating local and global requirements
Collaborate to develop and validate solution design documentation for implementation and ongoing support
Relationships:
Office Connect lead and trusted advisor for I&O organization; BRM/Member Firm stakeholders, hardware suppliers, professional service vendors, WAN, Infosec, EY Supply Chain Services
Team Management:
Lead three EY teams consisting of engineering and reporting, plus management of Kyndryl resources
What we offer The compensation ranges below comply with United States pay transparency laws; other geographies follow local salary guidelines. EY offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, with salary ranges typically between $134,200 and $258,300 in most US locations. The NYC Metro Area, Washington State and California ranges are $161,000 to $293,500. Salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off options.
