Role Purpose
This position is for a UC Designer within the Unified Communications and Connectivity Practice’s Next Gen UC team. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop Vodafone’s platform, enabling customers to access next-generation unified communications products.
Key Responsibilities
* Design the core UC infrastructure supporting Vodafone’s global UCaaS, SIP, and contact center products, integrating with various transport networks.
* Develop APIs to orchestrate these components and contribute to the design and development of UC products.
* Collaborate with architects on new designs and enhancements for the platform.
* Participate in a DevOps environment to develop new capabilities based on the product backlog.
* Research open-source projects to leverage or enhance Vodafone’s architecture.
* Ensure high-quality code with comprehensive unit testing for safe modifications.
Key Accountabilities
* Create detailed low-level designs to address Vodafone’s business needs in the UC Connectivity Platform.
* Develop and support APIs for the Unified Communication Platform.
* Manage and deliver projects to maintain platform integrity.
* Support operational teams in troubleshooting complex issues and contribute to team improvements.
* Continuously learn and apply new knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
* Extensive experience with voice signaling protocols and applying technology to solve business challenges.
* Experience managing stakeholders effectively.
* Previous experience with other UCaaS vendors.
* Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code.
* Experience working within agile teams.
* Enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills.
