What will be your challenge?
As a Senior Treasury Analyst, your mission will be to secure and optimize the company’s liquidity while leading the evolution toward a more centralized, transparent, and scalable global banking infrastructure.
The position reports to the Head of Treasury & Working Capital (UK based) and works closely with the Regional Finance Manager. You will play a key role in enabling efficient cash movements across entities, ensuring robust payment approval frameworks, and supporting a banking setup that is fit for a growing international organization. Acting as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders and our bankers, you will build strong relationships with financial institutions, confidently communicating and negotiating to support both operational needs and long-term strategy.
You will work closely with regional finance teams and global stakeholders to improve visibility, control, and efficiency across cash management, financial risk, and working capital, contributing directly to the financial stability and sustainable growth of the business.
Which are the roles of the position?Cash Flow & Liquidity Optimization
* Ensure funds are available to meet ongoing obligations and provide approval and oversight of the AP process.
* Forecast weekly cash inflows and outflows and compile a Group wide forecast, highlighting liquidity deficits and surpluses for management.
* Report on working capital use and support policies that help reduce financial costs.
* Promote the repatriation of surplus cash to the parent company to repay debt.
* Appraise technology solutions for processes such as daily cash management, cash forecasting, customer and bank KYC and bank scorecards.
Banking & Financing architecture
* Help to centralize the banking infrastructure into a transparent, and scalable model, suitable for a company of FairWind’s size and international footprint.
* Take a leading role in the implementation of a regional overhaul of banking partners in the Americas, Spain, UK and elsewhere.
* Act as a key point of contact with banking partners, building strong person-to-person relationships based on trust, credibility, and effective communication.
* Negotiate with banks on fees, conditions, services, and financial products to support the company’s operational and strategic needs, including the contracting and repayment of loans and credit lines.
* Drive the optimization of cash movements between entities, in line with tax-efficient plans with clear approval and documentation.
* Support the evaluation of medium-, and long-term financing options.
* Banking integration of acquired businesses.
Financial Risk Control
* Help identify, assess, and mitigate risks including exchange rate, interest rate, and credit risk.
* Protect the budgeted exchange rate and reduce long-term cash flow variability.
Compliance, Governance & Control
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in each jurisdiction.
What skills and qualifications are we looking for in you?
* Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or similar, with postgraduate studies or an Accounting Qualification being a distinct plus.
* A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in international companies and coordinating treasury activities across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
* In addition to fluent English, business-level proficiency in other languages relevant to FairWind’s key markets, especially Spanish.
* Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central or similar, as well as treasury control tools.
* Strong relationship management skills with banks and financial institutions, with the ability to communicate confidently and negotiate effectively.
* Solid knowledge of financial products and banking services (loans, credit lines, guarantees, cash pooling, FX products, etc.).
* Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and operate in an international, multicultural environment.
