Overview Grifols is a global healthcare company dedicated to improving the health and well‐being of people worldwide, developing, producing, and marketing plasma‐derived medicines and transfusion medicine solutions in more than 110 countries.Mission The IT Global Category Manager leads the strategic sourcing and category management of Grifols's global IT categories, driving value creation, risk mitigation, and transformation across all IT categories.Responsibilities Create, implement, and execute a multi‐year global IT category strategy (software, hardware, infrastructure/telecoms, and IT services).Lead competitive sourcing events (RFx), complex negotiations, and contract structuring, informed by market intelligence, spend analysis, and TCO modelling.Proactive management of contract renewals and change requests.Review major contracts for key areas of spend and act as subject‐matter expert for planning and leading complex negotiations or re‐supply modelling; create procurement playbooks for cyclical spending.Act as a procurement business partner with IT leadership, aligning IT and category strategy.Collaborate with Finance, Legal, InfoSec, Data Privacy, and other groups to execute sourcing operations and priorities.Develop, participate in, and manage budget, demand, and transformation planning with IT stakeholders.Lead the procurement function to maximize contribution to business objectives, profitability, and ROI.Serve as a strategic business partner to develop and prioritize procurement change programs and projects.Coach the team in the use of commercial models, reports, and forecasts to strengthen decision‐making processes.Optimize key relationships across Grifols, leveraging best practice and external networking.Partner with business and procurement colleagues to foster a culture of professional development and manage performance effectively.Coach, manage performance, and identify development opportunities for indirect reports; ensure succession planning.Build, implement, and execute strategic supplier‐management governance.Govern supplier performance across IT and procurement KPIs.Manage supplier risk, including financial, cybersecurity, GDPR compliance, geopolitical exposure, and contractual aspects.Drive adoption of procurement tools, processes, AI, and advanced analytics.Manage compliance of P2P, Procurement CoE, and procurement policy.Lead research and analytics to validate savings projections and enable precise supplier negotiations.Lead Global ESG initiatives within the assigned scope.Qualifications Master's degree, professional business qualification, and extensive track‐record in senior strategic procurement.Procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish.Mindset and behaviours aligned with a global pharmaceutical company focused on compliance, reputation management, and ethical standards.Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to spot and develop talent, build procurement teams, and empower others.Minimum seven years' experience in indirect procurement, vendor management, and strategic sourcing with deep expertise in IT (services, manufacturing, software, hardware, telecom, data centres).Deep experience with an IT spend portfolio is required.Individual contributor role with possibility of growing into managing a small team.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed; extensive travel is not required.Successful track‐record of driving performance across a complex matrix within a global enterprise and the ability to influence and optimise operating models.Ability to influence strategically, solve problems through conceptual and analytical thinking, and work constructively through conflict.Strong influencing skills, including operating at executive levels.Analytical and data‐driven mindset, proven experience in market benchmarking.Familiarity with AI in procurement.High integrity, and compliance with ethics and compliance guidelines.Working Hours & Contract Hybrid model, flexible schedule: Monday‐Thursday 07:00–10:00 & 16:00–19:00, Friday 08:00–15:00.Contract of Employment: Permanent position.Benefits Package Details of the benefits package are available upon request.Equal Opportunity Grifols is an equal opportunity employer.
