The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing new business relationships, specifically with clients in the Pharma sector, focusing on sales of language technologies and solutions. This role involves supporting prospective and existing clients, with responsibilities split approximately 50% on managing and growing existing accounts (farming) and 50% on full-cycle sales activities for new clients (hunting).


Position Responsibilities:


1. Develop an understanding of TransPerfect's services, benefits, and competitive advantages.
2. Identify prospective customers and organizations for sales activities.
3. Develop new client relationships through cold calling, internet research, and trade shows.
4. Coordinate with Sales Management to identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities.
5. Promote and educate clients about TransPerfect's services.
6. Provide customer support and manage client expectations in collaboration with the Production team.
7. Manage pricing and contractual issues by understanding company procedures.
8. Cross-sell and upsell services within client organizations to optimize profitability.
9. Learn about each client's industry, business needs, and culture to identify new opportunities and provide high-quality service.
10. Perform other projects or duties as required.


Essential Skills and Experience:


1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
2. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
3. At least 1 year of experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management, or Customer Service.
4. Ability to build and maintain relationships.
5. Motivated, proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently.
6. Good analytical skills for revenue projection and budget monitoring.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Interest in strategic business development or client services as a long-term career.
9. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work well with diverse teams.


Desired Skills and Experience:


1. B2B experience.
2. Experience working with clients in the Pharmaceutical sector.
3. Additional proficiency in other languages is highly valued.
