The Academic Research Organisation (ARO) Platform provides comprehensive sponsor support for the management of clinical trials and studies throughout the entire study lifecycle. Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is seeking a Clinical Research Associate (Sponsor Activities Coordinator) to join its ARO Unit and contribute to the coordination and oversight of sponsor-related activities for the “PROYECTOS DE INVESTIGACIÓN CLÍNICA INDEPENDIENTE” project (File No. ICI22/00106) funded by ISCIII and FEDER.
Responsibilities
* Conduct initial, follow‑up and closing monitoring visits to participating sites.
* Prepare visit reports.
* Implement established procedures (SOPs) and participate in preparation and review of SOPs for related activities.
* Act as main communicator between the sponsor and the investigator at each study site.
* Support project management activities: insurance and contract management, adverse event management, medication and material management, monitoring and security reports, project monitoring tools, and onsite supervision.
* Prepare and maintain trial master files.
* Assist in the preparation and organization of researchers’ meetings.
* Detect, communicate and help resolve disagreements and incidents during the trial.
* Assist in the management of authorizations, modifications and notifications to ethics committees and competent authorities.
* Perform administrative functions necessary for proper project monitoring.
* Design specific materials for each trial or study.
* Register and control activities for each project.
* Help organize workshops, seminars or courses established by the Unit.
Qualifications
Required:
* Degree or equivalent in Health Sciences.
* Training in monitoring clinical trials.
* Good command of Catalan, Spanish and English.
Desirable:
* Additional training in Good Clinical Practice.
Experience and Knowledge
Required:
* At least 6 months of experience in the Clinical Research field.
* Independence and flexibility.
* Strong communication skills and teamwork.
* Availability to travel within the country.
Desirable:
* Experience as a Clinical Research Associate.
Labour Conditions
* Full‑time: 37.5 hours per week.
* Start date: as soon as possible.
* Salary: determined by experience, skills and responsibilities; aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
* Contract type: project‑linked contract until 31 December 2026.
