For an European institution in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a Senior QA Test Engineer.
EU candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates need to be willing to relocate.
A work permit is required for non-European candidates, but not provided!
This position is open for contractors and employees. Candidates need to be fluent in English.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Define the scope of testing within the context of each release/delivery;
- Responsible for the planning test activities, both functional and non-functional testing;
- Participate in the requirement analysis phase to ensure an effective test strategy is devised;
- Ensure that all processes related to Quality Management are set up and maintained;
- Work together with therelevant stakeholders to devise a strategy for security/penetration testing;
- Ensure effective collaboration and interaction between the team members in performing a thorough end-to-end functional and non-functional testing of the System(s);
- Validate the Test Summary Reports along with testing evidence delivered for all testing-related activities and provide expert comments on the deliverables and accept or reject them;
- Maintain all documentation related to Quality Management;
- Support the project team and the Contracting Authority on all issues related to Quality Management;
- Plan, support deployment and manage the testing effort for any given engagement;
- Participate in the test management meetings such as 'end of FAT' and 'end of SAT' meetings;
- Carry out quality audits and IT processes quality assessments;
- Plan end-user testing,including MS testing;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +8 years of relevant work experience;
- Excellent knowledge ofthe testing lifecycle and the landscape of the tools to automate the test cases to perform;
- Excellent knowledge oftesting standards and methodologies;
- Good project and contract management knowledge;
- Hands-on experience using project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.) and methodologies (Prince2, PM2, PMI, Agile, SAFE, Scrum, etc.);
- Ability to chair meetings and give presentations;
- Ability to apply high-quality standards to all tasks;
- Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies;
- Capacity in writing documents;
- Good communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with the development team;
- Experience and willingness to work in an international/multicultural environment;
- Fluent in English;
