Job Description
The Head of Sales Retail is responsible for leading the commercial retail team of the Iberia Business Unit, with a strong focus on channel and customer excellence and future growth. The position sits in the Leadership team in Spain with a direct report into the Country General Manager. You will work closely with the Zone Commercial VP to translate company objectives into commercial plans and best practices to win in the market while creating valuable partnerships with customers.
Essential Functions Responsibilities
* Lead sales teams by developing collective and individual capabilities through continuous coaching ensuring that teams are inspired motivated with spikes in performance focus customer orientation executional excellence cost management.
* Develop winning go-to-market strategies to elevate beloved brands for National and Regional Retail customers.
* Work closely with the Category and Marketing teams to design the commercial and distribution strategy of the channel.
* Create compelling commercial annual plans which unlock growth opportunities maximize sustainable profit delivery.
* Ensure brilliant execution of commercial distribution and activation plans on the Retail channel.
* Define key performance indicators of the channel to track main commercial initiatives execution ROI.
* Peer to peer cross-functional team communication leadership to drive a leading strategy insights sharing execution approach.
* Leverage consumer insights financial analysis industry knowledgebase to deliver end-to-end value.
* Partner up with retail finance to optimize channel investment collaborate with supply to determine short midterm forecast accuracy.
Expected Experience Required Skills:
* University degree required Economics Finance Engineering desired.
* 10+ years of strong commercial experience in fast-paced leading FMCG companies.
* Transformational leader with a track-record of delivering results.
* Track record of building solid teams developing talent at all levels of the organization.
* Outstanding communication interpersonal skills.
* P&L proficiency with the ability to analyze business health through financials.
* Self-starter mentality with goal to make a difference each day.
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in business customer consumer needs on a cross-functional matrixed environment.
* Pro-active problem solver able to assess an issue develop action steps for resolution.
