Overview Hardware Design Engineer (H/F) - COMPUTADORAS, REDES E INGENIERÍA, SA at Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) in Tres Cantos (Madrid area). This is a role to develop electronic units for flight and ground equipment in line with project schedule, cost and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop/design electronic units for flight and ground equipment to achieve unit delivery in accordance with project schedule, cost and quality requirements.
Support to the Technical and Test Managers for analysis of project requirements.
Architecture analysis at electronic function or module level.
Detailed electronics design based on electrical simulations at function level.
Assure robustness of the design by part stress analysis, worst case analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, power budget analysis and Double Insulation requirements compliance.
In flight designs, support the Radiation Team to ensure robustness within the radiation space environment including Single Events Effects (SEE).
Documentation of the design and laboratory and prototype testing.
Support packaging/Mechanical and thermal design robustness with the Packaging Team.
Support PCB CAD team during PCB design by reviewing PCB layouts.
Define board test procedures and support main project reviews (Requirement Review, Preliminary and Architecture Review, Critical Design Review, etc.).
Characterization of the design and support to Test Team for acceptance of flight equipment.
Monitor changes and discrepancies from the baseline during characterization and acceptance tests.
Support Technical Manager in resolving NCRs (Non-conformances) raised during qualification or acceptance campaigns.
Qualifications
Master degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or a science discipline.
Proven experience in the development of Power, Analog or Digital electronics.
Proven experience using advanced laboratory instrumentation.
Knowledge of design methodologies for space applications and tools (Mentor, LTSPice, Matlab, SIMetrix-SIMPLIS).
Strong mathematical basis for electronic design analysis.
English and Spanish at least mid-level, both written and spoken.
Good communication and reporting skills; strong teamwork spirit; independent and accurate work style.
Other recommended skills: digital mindset (automation, scripting, digital design tools), space environment constraints, Agile familiarity, fast prototyping.
