For large-scale international orchestra touring productions, HRRE is recruiting an experienced
Head of Technical Production (m/f/d)
to lead and oversee the full technical execution of high-level concert productions worldwide.
This position is designed for a senior technical leader who combines strategic oversight with hands‐on touring expertise and thrives in complex, large-scale live environments.

The Role
As Head of Technical Production, you will take full responsibility for the technical planning, coordination, and execution of our touring concert productions. You will act as the central authority for all technical departments and ensure seamless collaboration between creative, production, and local teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Strategy
Overall responsibility for the technical design and execution of touring productions
Supervising audio, lighting, video, staging, backline, and special production elements
Ensuring technical excellence and consistency across all tour dates
Developing scalable production standards for international touring
Pre‐Production & Advancing
Leading technical advancing with venues, promoters, and local production teams
Reviewing and approving stage plots, technical riders, and CAD plans
Overseeing scheduling, staffing, and equipment planning
Identifying and resolving technical challenges proactively
Touring Oversight
Supervising load‐in, rehearsals, soundchecks, show execution, and load‐out
Overseeing touring technical teams and department heads
Ensuring smooth communication between touring crew and local teams
Maintaining show quality under touring conditions
Budget & Resource Management
Managing technical budgets and cost control
Negotiating with suppliers and technical vendors
Overseeing equipment logistics and transportation planning
Monitoring technical reporting and post‐show evaluations
Team & Stakeholder Coordination
Acting as the primary technical contact for artists, conductors, orchestras, venues, and promoters
Leading and mentoring technical teams
Maintaining strong relationships with international partners
Ensuring compliance with safety and local regulations
Your xqysrnh Profile
5+ years of senior‐level experience in technical production for touring concerts or large‐scale live productions
Proven leadership experience managing international touring crews
Deep technical knowledge across audio, lighting, video, staging, and orchestral production
Strong experience in advancing complex productions
Excellent budgeting and negotiation skills
Calm, solution‐oriented mindset in high‐pressure environments
Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible schedules
Experience in large‐scale orchestral or symphonic touring productions is highly desirable
