Finance Support Analyst – WS Transformation Projects

HPWS is driving multiple Business Transformation Initiatives to build essential foundations in processes, organizational models, and IT systems for our services and software businesses. The HPWS Transformation Office is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Support Analyst. The primary role of the Finance Support Analyst is to provide financial analysis, reporting, and operational support for large-scale transformation initiatives.
This role will work closely with the Transformation Finance Lead, HPWS Finance, the Transformation Operations lead/team, Corporate Financial Reporting (CFR), and D&TO; to ensure that the financial aspects of the transformation programs are accurately tracked, reported, and aligned with strategic objectives. This role will also be accountable for monthly detailed planning for upcoming spend requiring CFR approval and monthly charge-back of qualified spend against CFR restructuring funds. It will be a highly operational role so strong process, data/tooling, and an operational mindset is required.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic insights to support business decisions. This critical role will report to into the WS Finance function and be assigned into the Transformation Operations leader to be part of the overall TMO operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to support business planning and decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and projects.
- Monitor and evaluate key financial metrics, including revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior financial analysts.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree preferred.
- Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst, with expertise in more than one finance function.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting techniques.
Preferred Certifications:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Advanced knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Experience in strategic planning, financial planning and analysis (FP&A;), and capital budgeting.
- Knowledge of industry-specific financial practices and regulations.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
