The opportunity
Hitachi Energy, for our Transformers Business Unit, is seeking a HUB ITM / Continuous Improvement Specialist based in our factory in Zaragoza. This role is responsible for leading and driving sustainable and transformational change across multiple HUB Europe and Product Lines, functional teams, and factories, focused on process improvements, ITM (Integrated Transformer Management) system maturity, and demonstrated improvement in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The successful candidate will be a business partner to the Hub Leadership team members and Factory Managers.
How you’ll make an impact:
* Partner with the cross-functional leadership team in developing and operationalizing the Strategy Deployment process.
* Facilitate the development of breakthrough objectives, action plans, KPI's, and lead the development of Kaizen plans to support organizational needs.
* Act as a change agent and champion of a continuous improvement culture focused on waste elimination using ITM Lean methods, processes, and tools such as 5S, Daily Management, LSW, VSM, TPM, Kaizen, etc.
* Lead activities to implement the ITM system and drive improved maturity scores to advance the organization through ITM deployment phases.
* Drive optimization of KPI's across factories and functional organizations.
* Develop financial acumen to ensure priority actions focus on impactful business improvements.
* Ensure effective sustainment of results and support problem solving (Root Cause Countermeasure) to close gaps to targets.
* Build a coaching culture emphasizing employee engagement and accountability.
Your background:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or business and at least 5 years of experience in Lean management systems, continuous improvement, manufacturing, engineering, or process improvement.
* Experience implementing systems like Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Honeywell Operating System, or similar, with a proven track record of delivering bottom-line results.
* A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster teamwork. Experience translating strategy into actionable plans, driving sustainable change through influence, and leading teams without direct authority.
* Proven ability to coordinate and lead remote teams across different locations. Proficiency in English is required.
* Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma (e.g., Lean Master, Lean Expert, Black Belt). Experience leading training sessions is a plus.
* Availability to travel up to 50%.
