About The RoleAs a Decommissioning Engineer I you will support decommissioning projects in dismantling techniques and tooling, auxiliary systems, waste management and costs. You will report to the Decommissioning Planning Manager and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a full-time role.
Main Responsibilities
Engineering support in design for decommissioning, dismantling and waste management activities for complete nuclear plants and facilities.
Licensing and planning support during decommissioning and dismantling activities for complete nuclear plants and facilities.
Support in the dismantling processes and auxiliary systems within decommissioning activities for complete nuclear plants and facilities.
Understand radiological characterization, segmentation techniques, in-plant materials lifting, handling, sorting and packaging to the nuclear requirements.
Work with designing and planning dismantling processes, specifying equipment, writing technical and licensing documentation, estimating costs and durations, and, in field, supervising execution activities.
Work on the projects in Europe (mostly in Spain) however there may be a chance to work for Japan, Korea and USA as well.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Energy, Nuclear).
Master's degree in Nuclear Energy.
Additional training or specialization in the nuclear field or in Radioactive Waste Management would be valuable.
Some experience in nuclear facilities decommissioning processes or in radioactive waste management processes would be valuable.
Proficiency in Spanish and English.
