As a second option or France or The NetherlandsAs a Category Manager Manufacturing and Capex at dsm-firmenich, you’ll shape the sourcing strategies that power some of the world’s most advanced science, from sustainable ingredients to biotech innovations. You’ll lead high-value categories, influence technical and CAPEX decisions, and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and business leaders across the globe. This role gives you the autonomy to drive strategic partnerships, deliver measurable value, and embed sustainability into every deal. If you’re ready to combine analytical rigor with purpose-driven impact, this is where your expertise truly makes a difference.**Your key responsibilities**- Develop category strategy and approved plan for his/her category and lead deployment of the strategy in the Category and assign priorities for procurement initiatives.
- Prepare and lead fact-based negotiations, supplier selection and contracting process.
- Manage procurement initiatives in close alignment with involved stakeholders and procurement colleagues.
- Account management for key suppliers. Develop and manage relationship with key suppliers and track their performance (Key Supplier Management – KSM), including contract management (all valid and up to date).
- Manage knowledge sharing, collaboration and proper communication between Category Managers and buyers within the Category and across Categories by providing strategy and deep category expertise and ensure the use of standardized processes and proven best practices.

a Master’s degreeis preferred.
- Fluenct in English and your local language;
additional languages are an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic Procurement or a related business context, ideally with global or cross-functional exposure.
- Strong experience in technical categories such as process equipment, technical services, or CAPEX procurement.
- Proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills — able to align diverse interests and deliver results in complex environments.
