About The Role
As Cook at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, within the Central Kitchen, you will be responsible for setting up, serving, and clearing during events and banquets, ensuring exceptional service, attention to detail, and guest satisfaction throughout all functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform tasks involving the preparation of products for customer service to MOHG standards.
* Support Food and Beverage outlets as required.
* Transport tools and utensils required for service.
* Control and check merchandise and objects used in the section.
* Assist in the assembly, service, and dismantling of events.
* Assist in ordering and conserving raw materials and products for the kitchen.
* Check and control kitchen materials, reporting incidents.
* Collaborate in the preparation and development of special events.
* Assist in menu planning and development.
* Help manage costs, inventories, purchasing, and storage.
* Ensure proper preservation and use of products.
* Maintain cleanliness and good condition of service equipment and utensils.
* Be knowledgeable about menu compositions and allergens to serve dishes correctly.
* Communicate with colleagues about dish ingredients and preparation.
* Prepare and present products maintaining consistency according to technical specifications.
* Prepare 'mise en place' as per guidelines.
* Ensure dishes meet standards set by Head Chefs.
* Report incidents to superiors, ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Keep the workplace clean and stocked.
* Enforce food hygiene, safety standards, HACCP, and MOHG policies.
* Work cooperatively and respectfully with all departments.
