The Position
Role Purpose
As a strategic Program Manager for Architecture & Software Engineering (ASE), you will serve as a leader to Roche Diagnostics. Your main responsibility is to drive customer and business value by planning, launching, and executing a strategic program within a complex, iterative environment.
You will lead the Reference Architecture Adoption Program within the Architecture & Software Engineering Function. Your role includes supporting and promoting the definition and adoption of the Reference Architecture, which provides a standard set of recommended services, integrations, and data flow overviews between different architectural components. This architecture consists of Architecture Building Blocks grouped by layers, with more granular components underneath.
You will design, maintain, and provide an effective structure, governance, and leadership for the program. You will also define and support the adoption squads within the program, ensuring alignment with Roche values and leadership principles.
Reporting to the Software Program Management Office (PMO) Lead in Roche Information Solutions, you will collaborate primarily with Engineering, Roche Diagnostics Solutions, Roche Integrated Informatics, and other functions within RIS and Diagnostics to deliver the Diagnostics Reference Architecture.
In this role, as a servant leader, you will:
* Lead the complex Reference Architecture Adoption program and its associated cross-functional projects and initiatives.
* Drive governance, collaboration, and transparency across the program.
* Utilize and establish program management tools for transparency and stakeholder engagement, including:
o Strategic Program Roadmap
o Resource & capacity planning, including roles, responsibilities, skills, and capabilities
o Program Backlog
o Budget Planning & Monitoring
* Support staffing of projects, squads, and initiatives within the program.
* Act as a trusted, reliable, and compliant partner to key stakeholders such as squad/project leaders, finance, controlling, and procurement teams.
* Define and implement metrics and KPIs to measure progress and success, and develop dashboards like the Adoption Savings Dashboard.
* Identify, monitor, and mitigate key risks, involving stakeholders as needed.
* Promote a culture of agile working and continuous improvement by proposing and implementing enhancements.
Who you are:
* Degree and experience in Business Administration, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related fields; MSIS, MIS, or MBA preferred.
* Over 10 years of experience leading programs, projects, and teams in agile environments with tangible outcomes.
* Preferred: consulting background.
* Quick learner with the ability to understand complex workflows and develop innovative solutions.
* Hands-on, customer-oriented, and collaborative attitude.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technology to stakeholders and translating customer insights into technical deliverables.
* Proven ability to establish vision, set goals, develop strategies, and measure outcomes.
* Familiarity with technological trends relevant to healthcare.
