We are seeking a passionate and talented individual to join us as a Country Procurement Buyer. This role is responsible for deploying effective Category Management Strategies at the country level, collaborating with Category Managers at our Head Office and Africa Strategic Business Unit, as well as identifying local sourcing opportunities to enhance business performance.
* Mapping and assessing local sourcing options to inform and enrich Category Strategies
* Ensuring efficient deployment of Category Management Strategies, acting as the main point of contact with suppliers during execution
* Managing local purchases outside of Category Management scope, including scouting, tendering, contracting, and supplier relationship management
* Overseeing Material TCO and budgeting
* Managing supplier relationships, including performance KPIs, service levels, and risk monitoring
* Vendor homologation and master data management in ERP for all categories at the country level
* Driving efficiency projects
* Managing the execution of innovation initiatives

Requirements
Qualifications:
* University degree or engineering diploma
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar procurement role within a Direct Materials Procurement function, preferably in international markets and multinational companies (including import management)
* Fluency in English and French
* Valuable knowledge in packaging is a plus
