What’s the opportunity?
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team! You will be part of a talented team that works on mission-critical applications with big customers like Netflix, Amazon, Nike, Facebook, Google & more. This is a remote position!
Responsibilities
* Scalability of our infrastructure to answer our international growth, with multi-region and multi-cloud challenges.
* Building and operating container platforms on top of Kubernetes (EKS/GKE or equivalent), including autoscaling, policies and security.
* Daily interaction with engineers and participating in the development process.
* Work on infrastructure automation, performance improvements and auto-scaling.
* Designing solutions focused on uptime, redundancy, DR and understanding the security implications when interacting with Security and Compliance teams.
* Automating IaC deployment and configuration using Terraform, cloud-native tooling (e.g., CloudFormation, Pulumi, CrossPlane) and CI/CD integrations.
* Maintain an on-call rotation for the infrastructure you support, responding to alerts with a focus on continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Hands-on experience in either AWS or GCP (experience in both is a plus).
* Deployment automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform; nice to have: CloudFormation (AWS) or Deployment Manager (GCP).
* Monitoring, alerting and dashboarding with ELK, Coralogix and/or cloud-native services (CloudWatch, Cloud Logging/Monitoring).
* Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Rundeck.
* Experience with deploying infrastructure in an AWS and/or GCP cloud environment.
* Ability to troubleshoot and configure AWS and/or GCP services on the scope of compute and networking.
* Experience with Kubernetes covering provisioning, lifecycle and running at scale.
* Linux administration experience, understanding Linux core fundamentals and command line operations.
* Knowledge of security best practices for Cloud Computing environments.
* Nice to have: scripting/programming in Python, Go, or Bash; DR/HA design; performance tuning and cost optimization.
