Position: Experienced Business Manager – Engineering Services, Spanish Defence Sector
The company is entering and expanding within the Spanish defence sector, and this position offers the opportunity to work on a blank canvas, building relationships, positioning and business opportunities from the ground up with long‐term, sustainable impact and value. The role is responsible for managing and developing commercial relationships with defence sector clients, focusing on Spain, and operating transversally across BOLD Technologies and BOLD Applied Engineering. It reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and works closely with the CEO, directly influencing BOLD's strategy and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial relationships with defence sector clients, particularly in the Spanish market
Act as the primary strategic point of contact, working closely with clients to capture technical and commercial needs early and accurately
Identify, develop and unlock new business opportunities with both existing clients and new sector players
Actively contribute to building BOLD's defence presence in Spain, defining approach, priorities and key relationships
Understand and manage the distinct nature of both divisions, balancing advanced engineering services and technology/product solutions
Travel frequently, sometimes weekly, to work directly with clients, programmes and key stakeholders
Support scope definition, proposal preparation and commercial negotiations
Represent BOLD at defence industry trade shows and events, mainly in Europe and occasionally globally
Work closely with internal teams to maximise commercial and technical success

Minimum Requirements
Strong background in engineering services, vehicle design or systems integration within the defence sector
Proven experience working with Spanish defence companies
Extensive network of contacts within the defence sector, both in Spain and internationally
Ability to operate effectively in complex, highly technical environments with multiple stakeholders
Professional‐level conversational English
