Software Development Manager, Amazon Payment Products
Global Installment Lending (GIL) is part of Amazon Payments organisation. We are an organisation with customer obsession to deliver win‑win solutions for Customers, Amazon and our Bank Partners. The role will help deliver core components of our Installment systems that are used across 14+ countries.
Key job responsibilities
* You will be working with business partners, software development engineers, testers, and UI/UX designers to design, implement, test, launch, and maintain Global Installment Lending (GIL) experiences for Amazon customers.
* You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define product features, drive system architecture, and spearhead the best‑practices that enable a quality product.
* You will learn a variety of advanced technologies, development processes, and develop well‑rounded skills such as leadership, and effective project management.
* You will also be responsible for building a strong development team and developing career plans for the engineers reporting to you.
Basic Qualifications
* 4+ years of engineering team management experience
* 7+ years of engineering experience
* 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
* Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
* Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
* Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
