At our innovative, forward-thinking biopharmaceutical corporation, we are completely dedicated to changing lives by developing groundbreaking therapies for rare diseases. Consequently, we are seeking a highly strategic and collaborative Key Account Manager (KAM) – Rare Diseases to spearhead our commercial footprint across the Andalusia region.

In this highly specialized role, you won’t just be managing a standard sales territory; instead, you will lead complex hospital accounts and orchestrate market access solutions. Specifically, you will work cross-functionally with medical and access teams to optimize the patient journey and deliver high-value clinical options to key stakeholders.


Job Description: Key Account Manager (KAM) – Rare Diseases


Your Mission: Market Access & Patient Journey Optimization

Your primary goal involves leading the commercial strategy throughout your assigned territory to secure optimal positioning and access for rare disease therapies. Therefore, you will manage high-level institutional accounts within specialized hospital environments. By doing so, you will build meaningful partnerships with complex medical units, ultimately accelerating life‑changing care for patients facing low‑prevalence pathologies.

Your Key Responsibilities:

* Strategic Account Planning: Develop and implement rigorous, long‑term strategic plans for key hospital networks, regional health authorities, and primary payers.
* Stakeholder Management: Cultivate high‑level relationships with critical decision‑makers, including hospital boards, clinical departments, hospital pharmacies, and medical directors.
* Market Access Alignment: Identify entry opportunities and streamline the patient care journey in low‑prevalence therapeutic areas. In addition, you will lead hospital and regional negotiations in close coordination with the Market Access division.
* Cross‑Functional Synergy: Partner hand‑in‑hand with Medical Affairs to ensure all communications are perfectly aligned and backed by strong scientific evidence.
* Market Intelligence: Constantly analyze the competitive landscape, monitoring market trends, healthcare policies, and regional access dynamics.
* Project Leadership: Coordinate and drive cross‑functional corporate projects specifically designed to elevate the quality of healthcare delivery.
* Ethical Compliance: Guarantee absolute adherence to legal regulations, compliance policies, and industry ethical codes across all commercial interactions.


Who You Are: The Ideal Commercial Strategist

* The Academic: You hold a University Degree in Health Sciences, Biology, Pharmacy, or a closely related professional field.
* Industry Veteran: You bring solid, verified experience serving as a Key Account Manager (KAM) within the pharmaceutical industry. Specifically, high‑specialty hospital lines or rare disease background is heavily preferred.
* Pharmacy Negotiator: You possess proven, hands‑on experience negotiating directly with Hospital Pharmacy departments and multi‑stakeholder clinical panels.
* System Expert: You demonstrate a deep understanding of the Spanish regional healthcare system, public procurement, and institutional hospital decision‑making workflows.
* Analytical Mindset: You exhibit strong analytical capabilities, sharp strategic vision, and meticulous territory planning skills.
* The Linguist: You have exceptional communication and influencing skills, coupled with a high proficiency in English and fluent Spanish.
* Geographically Fit: You reside in Andalusia (ideally Seville or Málaga) and possess full availability to travel regularly across the territory.
