We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Data Engineer. This role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.
Key Details:
- Location: Spain (Hybrid role with on-site visits required to Madrid)
- Language Requirement: Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in cloud data engineering and related disciplines, including:
- 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance data pipelines for both streaming and batch data sources.
- Experience in building and maintaining data lakes and data warehouses, ensuring data quality, reliability, security, and scalability on Google Cloud Platform
- Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
- Experience in BigQuery, SQL, Data ingestion, data tokenization. and Airflow
- Experience coding in Python, including data structures, algorithms, and system and software design.
- Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery.
- Obtained Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
- Ability to communicate and work fluently in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience in technical consulting.
- Experience in advanced SQL tuning and optimization for cost and performance.
- Experience in Looker.
- Experience in building data streaming processing pipelines and understanding of event delivery semantics.
- Experience architecting, developing software, or building production-grade Big Data solutions on public Cloud managed services.
- Experience in collaborating with data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers to understand data needs and deliver impactful solutions accordingly.
