MEDICAL AFFAIRS MANAGER - Oncología Próstata
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB: To plan, coordinate, and execute the Medical Affairs Plan, including research and publication programs conducted by Medical Affairs. To be a therapeutic area scientific expert and to maximize company product value through high scientific quality communication with leading specialists. To increase awareness and understanding of Janssen products and processes among internal and external customers. To design local epidemiological studies and scientific publications aligned with the company's strategy, and to assess and discuss IIS initiatives and other RWE projects.
MAIN ACTIVITIES/TASKS:
* Stay updated on medical and scientific knowledge:
* Continuously update knowledge of products, treatment trends, and clinical studies within the therapeutic area in their region.
* Provide clinical and technical support to healthcare professionals regarding company products and services.
* Address scientific inquiries from the healthcare community and respond to customer concerns about products.
* Educate customers on the clinical use of diagnostic and interventional products.
* Support PV/Regulatory requests with scientific advice and information to resolve complaints or questions from physicians and other medical professionals.
1. Plan, coordinate, and follow up on Medical Affairs activities:
* Develop the concept and protocol for studies (post-approval studies, registries, early access programs, compassionate use, non-registration studies) and publications, aligned with strategic interests.
* Support study execution in collaboration with operational groups and CROs, including budget management, contract negotiations, and oversight of vendor activities.
* Participate in the company's drug surveillance program, including adverse event follow-up.
* Conduct data analysis for Phase IV trials and facilitate understanding of clinical trial data.
* Coordinate and participate in the publication of results and scientific data.
* Evaluate and follow up on investigator-initiated trials in collaboration with Medical Scientific Liaisons and other functions.
* Foster scientific collaboration with stakeholders through various initiatives.
2. Support commercial objectives:
* Ensure compliance with promotional laws and codes while supporting marketing and communication strategies.
* Proactively disseminate key scientific messages and develop relationships with leading specialists.
* Communicate the medical benefits of products and promote innovative approaches.
3. Collaborate with Medical Education and MSL teams:
* Assist in developing and implementing Medical Education activities.
* Support MSL plans and field activities.
* Organize and participate in advisory boards and scientific discussions.
4. Provide scientific support to marketing, sales, and other departments:
* Train and support marketing and sales representatives.
* Act as a scientific reference for queries, collaborating with Medical Information.
* Support other departments like HEMAR, Government Affairs, KAMs, PV, Regulatory, and Patient Advocacy.
5. Work closely with regional and local medical teams:
* Ensure effective communication and alignment of objectives.
* Lead strategic scientific discussions and training within the CVT.
* Gain insights into treatment patterns and scientific activities through interactions with leading specialists and participation in congresses and courses.
