Our client, a fintech company providing payment solutions and services in the electronic payments sector, is expanding in Spain and is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company’s financial strategy. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, treasury, reporting, and regulatory compliance, with the goal of supporting business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities :
* Strategic Financial Leadership : Develop and implement the financial strategy, aligned with business objectives, leading long-term planning, budgeting, and projections. Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to identify key opportunities and risks.
* Financial Reporting and Compliance : Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and lead the annual audit process.
* Treasury and Cash Flow Management : Manage liquidity, cash flow, banking relationships, financing, and investments, ensuring an optimal capital structure.
* Risk Management : Identify and manage financial risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure proper internal controls.
Requirements :
* University degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar.
* At least 10 years of experience in financial management and 5 years in a leadership role (CFO, VP of Finance).
* Experience in the electronic payments, fintech, or financial services industry. (startup)
* Knowledge of local and international financial regulations (Spain and EU).
* Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
