As a Procurement Category Manager, you create and implement sourcing strategies for complex services categories, collaborating with internal business partners and suppliers to reduce risks and costs. You develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery, drive results through competitive bidding, negotiation, and data analysis, and create global procurement processes and tools to drive innovation across teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage a complex category within the Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) domains
Achieve cost savings through bidding and negotiations
Analyze category data and metrics to drive procurement category strategies
Understand trends in customers’ needs and concerns across categories and regions to influence priorities
Lead supplier selection process across multiple categories, internal teams, and regions, creating longer‑term supplier selection strategies for management
Ensure knowledge of supply market and supplier capabilities, technically and geographically
Develop mechanisms and metrics to track supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and cost
Create supplier scorecards to measure and track supplier performance
Lead business reviews to discuss best practices and issues, improving supplier performance and strengthening business partnerships
Innovate within the procurement space by automating and improving tools or processes to better support the procurement lifecycle
Provide support throughout the contracting process and manage contracts post‑execution
Regional leadership and stakeholder engagement, serving as regional leads to engage InfraOps cluster leadership
Ensure locations have all services needed to operate data centers
Communicate preferred suppliers to stakeholders
Handle category‑specific questions, strategies, and innovations
Manage supplier performance and contract negotiations

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent
Experience in high‑volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product company
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
Experience practicing best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should‑cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)
