**Your Role**
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on** Capacity & Supply Planning Manager** for our Supply Chain Team. In this role, you will lead all short
- and long-term production and capacity planning for our five European manufacturing sites. Reporting to the S&OP; Manager, this senior role requires you to **lead a team of Production Planners** in creating optimal weekly plans and developing **accurate capacity models** to ensure unified standards and sufficient capacity to meet demand now and in the future. Your key responsibilities will be to proactively **identify and resolve production bottlenecks**, streamline team processes through automation and mentorship, and provide **precise Raw Material forecasts** to the Purchasing team for procurement and contract negotiations. All planning is conducted using state-of-the-art tools like IBP and SAP, demanding a strong focus on Master Data quality.
This role is idóneo for a leader who excels at both high-level strategy and deep-dive execution in a complex manufacturing environment.
**What you will do**
- Lead the short & long-term capacity and supply planning process across multiple factories, ensuring all manufacturing sites are aligned with projected demand and strategic targets.
- Standardize planning processes, tools, and KPIs across factories, driving alignment, visibility, and operational consistency across the network.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve capacity models that incorporate key factory dynamics (maintenance schedules, downtimes, efficiency rates, extra shifts, labour constraints).
- Translate volume forecasts from demand planning into actionable production plans that are both feasible and optimized from a capacity standpoint.
- Identify capacity risks and constraints proactively, and work cross-functionally to develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead the preparation and facilitation of capacity review meetings with factory and executive teams, clearly presenting risks, opportunities, and strategic scenarios.
- Provide to the Purchasing area an explosion of Raw Materials for all the Purchasing Horizon.
- Manage and develop a team of Production Planners: provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to enhance forecasting capabilities and supply planning excellence.
- Continuously improve team performance and efficiency by identifying ways to eliminate low-value manual tasks and administrative activities, promoting automation, system improvements, and high-value analysis.
- Collaborate with IT, systems, and data teams to optimize supply and capacity planning tools and increase process automation.
- Support executive decision-making through simulations and scenario analyses that assess the operational feasibility of future business growth or supply changes.
**What we are looking for**
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- At least 5/8 years of experience in capacity and supply planning, with proven exposure to factory operations and long-term production modelling in a manufacturing context (preferably FMCG).
- Previous experience leading a team and driving their development through coaching, performance management, and process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in standardizing planning processes and tools across multiple sites or regions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid command of supply & demand planning systems (e.g. SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, o9, Kinaxis, Anaplan, etc.) and advanced Excel/data manipulation skills; experience in leading system implementations or enhancements is a plus.
