Job Purpose
Responsible for the performance and organization during the shift. May accept laboratory analysis and related assignments when required, ensuring timely delivery of reports by coordinating the workflow.
General Responsibilities
* Assist Laboratory Manager and / or Branch Manager in location responsibilities.
* Organize department processes and personnel during shifts to meet client needs.
* Manage operations cost-effectively while maintaining safety, quality, employee satisfaction, and asset maintenance.
* Follow company procedures including HSE Manual, Accounting Policies & Procedures, and others, staying updated on changes.
* Report directly to Laboratory Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, and/or Branch Manager.
Qualifications Education and Experience
* Minimum professionalism certificate in chemistry/laboratory or a relevant university degree; or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
* Knowledge of Petrochemical products, chemicals, gases, and liquids.
* Fluent in the local language and English.
* Proficient in MS Office and company systems.
* Leadership, communication, team-building skills.
* Highly organized, positive, problem-solving, and analytical.
* Ability to coordinate teamwork and communicate effectively with managers.
* Ensure activities comply with client instructions, standards, safety rules, and policies.
* Monitor timelines, communicate progress, and intervene when necessary.
* Accept and coordinate laboratory analysis assignments, ensuring timely reports.
* Review reports for accuracy and completeness.
* Update clients timely to meet KPIs.
* Participate in safety meetings, investigate incidents, and promote safety.
* Assist in reviewing staff expenses, time records, and incentives.
* Ensure safety compliance and proper transportation of samples.
* Communicate complaints and claims promptly.
* Organize staff meetings and prepare/deliver training as needed.
* Maintain knowledge of analysis and safety standards in English.
* Assist in method setup and implementation to maximize capabilities.
* Attend training and pass examinations for managing laboratory operations.
* Complete data sheets and use laboratory software accurately.
* Perform and document laboratory procedures in line with quality assurance.
* Perform complex calculations and ensure traceability of results.

* Valid driving license required.
* Work irregular hours/shifts as needed.
* Perform analytical work safely and as requested.
Work environment
Regular exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate.
