Position: Test Manager (Project Test Engineer).
This role is part of Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) focusing on Space business areas such as Launchers (Ariane6, Vega‐C, Vega‐E), Earth Exploration, Space Exploration, and Commercial satellites.
Responsibilities
Shape the future based on innovation of our products, new technologies and ways of working.
State‐of‐the‐art product consolidation.
Continuous performance improvement.
Establish a test strategy to verify that electronic units meet customer requirements, in accordance with project schedule, cost and quality.
Act as the responsible for the verification of design and manufacturing of the unit.
Supervise the activities of the test engineering team for validation of the flight unit.
Participate in technical discussions with the customer during the negotiation phase and through flight operations.
Assist the Project Manager in requirement assessment and risk identification.
Collaborate with Technical Manager to define the architecture of the Flight Unit and EGSE.
Support technical issue resolution with stakeholders under quality and programmatic rules.
Document and report design validation through Verification Control Documents, Test Procedures and Reports.
Support test engineers during integration, qualification and acceptance campaigns, including tooling development.
Monitor deviations, evolutions and discrepancies during the recurrent phase of the project.
Ensure agreed verification hours are met.
Build customer trust through proactive and continuous support.
Required Skills
Master's degree (or equivalent) in engineering or science.
At least five years of validation and verification experience for electronic units.
Negotiation‐level English and Spanish, written and spoken.
Technical excellence and challenge spirit.
Digital mindset: automation, scripting, digital design tools and simulators.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Customer‐oriented and strong teamwork.
Innovative and efficient solution proposer.
Independent and autonomous work style.
Recommended Skills
Knowledge of space environment constraints and European space regulations (ESCC, SMD, etc.).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Technical knowledge of advanced test instrumentation for testing automation.
