**About this opportunity**
This position is in the Strategic Competence Unit (SCU) within the Service Area Network Design and Optimization (SA NDO) in Ericsson. The SCU is a integral service delivery expertise group located in a few countries. You will be working with the latest technology and will be involved in projects with many diverse customers around the world. In this role, you will be an expert and a go-to person in the field of Core and e2e Network Design and Optimization.
**What you will do**
As a Packet Core and e2e Solution Architect, you will analyze the customer situation and ambitions, having a deep knowledge of the Ericsson Portfolio or 3PP products, and combine these vectors into an end-to-end strategy to address customer needs, with the target to optimize Network Performance and Customer Experience.
Also, you will provide superior services and build outstanding business value for our customers through cost-effective and innovative solutions. The Solution Architect must be equipped to manage constant change and show leadership towards Ericsson resources and customers.
The position entails a high level of interaction with Product Units as well as Customer, Technical, Marketing, and Business Development teams. You will need to be able to analyze data and deliver solutions that improve the customer network in terms of capacity, functionality and end-user services. You are expected to work across the Evolved Packet Core and the entire Mobile Broadband eco system, with a focus on leading into 5G Core.
**You will bring**
- Extensive and successful experience in delivering end-to-end solutions within Mobile Broadband and Packet Core Domain
- Experience on scoping, defining and crafting solution offerings & driving end-to-end technical discussions
- Experience on developing technical presentations and proposals to customers from CxO/Director level to engineering and operations departments
- Deep knowledge in EPC and 5G Core Mobile Networks Architecture, traffic flows, and Network Optimization/Network Design
- High technical competence in Packet Core nodes and MBB. Deep knowledge on several of the following nodes, good understanding of the rest: SGSN-MME, SGW/PGW-C/U, AMF, SMF, UPF, DNS, SBG, BGF, MRF, gNB, eNB
- Performance Monitoring (Key Performance Indicator/Counters/Gauges) analysis experience
- User-Plane and Signaling-Plane knowledge (statistical and call flow based on Wireshark)
- Have a good understanding of Cloud, OpenStack, and Virtualization (i.e. Kubernetes, Dockers, KVM)
- Deep knowledge of 3GPP standards and the capability to carry this knowledge into the solution design and implementation phase
- Excellent TCP and TCP Congestion Control Algorithms knowledge. QUIC understanding is a plus
- Excellent understanding of Routing and Switching
- Data Analytics skills (MySQL, Tableau, etc.)
