Context And Mission
As the Quality & Digitalization Officer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and driving digitalization initiatives across the management area. You will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing processes, and ensuring the highest quality and performance standards. The position will be located in the Health & Safety and Quality unit, reporting to the Health & Safety manager.
Key Duties
* Quality Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system following applicable standards and regulations.
- Establish quality control processes, procedures, and metrics to monitor and measure performance.
- Conduct regular quality audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality management principles and practices.
* Digitalization and Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for digitalization and automation across various functions and processes within the organization, especially in the Management department.
- Develop and implement digital strategies to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance data management.
- Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate, select, and implement digital tools and technologies to support digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure the security and integrity of digital systems, data, and processes.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for process optimization.
* Compliance and Standards:
- Stay up to date with relevant industry and public administration standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality management and digitalization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, such as ENE certifications, and drive the necessary actions for certification and re-certification processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with quality and digitalization requirements.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
* Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective communication and coordination of quality and digitalization initiatives.
- Act as a point of contact for quality-related queries, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Promote a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the organization, especially in the Management Department..
- Participate in relevant meetings, committees, and working groups to represent the Quality and Digitalization function.
Requirements
* Education
o Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Quality Management, Business Administration or a similar discipline).
* Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
o Previous experience of minimum 2 years in positions related to quality and/or digitalization.
o Familiarity with digital technologies, automation, and data management principles.
o Proven experience in quality management, process optimization, and digitalization initiatives, preferably in a high-tech or research environment.
* Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
o Excellent English and Spanish and written communication
o Catalan is a plus
o Strong skills in Microsoft office. (Excellent in Excel)
o Knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools ISO standards, Lean Six Sigma).
o Expertise in the research and innovation public sector is a plus

* The position will be located at BSC within the Management Department
