Job: QA Automation Engineer Type: freelance / B2 B Contract Location: 100% Remote (some travel to Madrid may be required) Start: ASAP Duration: 18 Months Language: English Responsibilities Build and maintain automated test suites, primarily for APIs and backend services Improve regression coverage across critical areas of the platform Embed automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Git Hub Actions) Partner with engineering and product teams to define test cases and acceptance criteria Analyse test coverage, identify gaps, and drive quality improvements Support release processes and ensure solutions are production-ready Help evolve testing frameworks, tools, and overall quality strategy Requirements Strong experience in test automation for backend systems and APIs Proficiency in Java-based testing frameworks Experience with CI/CD integration for automated testing Solid understanding of software testing principles and best practices Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality topics Good communication skills and professional working English
