A Snapshot of Your Day
As Wind Power Lead Counsel Operations, you will report directly to the Wind Power General Counsel. In this role, you will establish, develop, and lead a new global team of legal counsels and contract managers advising the Siemens Energy Wind Power Operations organization. Your focus will be on procurement activities, factory scopes and claim management. Wind Power Operations is an Execution Unit with more than employees, around twenty manufacturing sites in various countries for onshore and offshore turbines and associated multi-billion purchasing volume per year.
You will act as trusted legal advisor to the Wind Power Operations management, aiming to establish first-class risk management practices and business excellence in all Operations activities. You will ensure that all direct, indirect and project procurement activities for Wind Power follow a global strategy for managing risks and opportunities, in alignment and close cooperation with central functions and departments within Wind Power.
How You’ll Make an Impact
19. Establish and lead a new best-in-class legal team advising Wind Power Operations.
20. Lead, develop and manage the performance of the Wind Power Legal Operations team.
21. Strengthen collaboration and information flow between WP Operations business partners and the global Siemens Energy Legal community.
22. Promote a culture of ownership, empowerment, transparency and “speak up.”
23. Support your team members in managing procurement contracts, framework agreements and dispute and claim management.
24. Take initiative and proactively address business challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset, balancing governance, and business needs.
25. Drive optimization of legal and contractual processes applying lean principles to increase efficiency for Wind Power.
What You Bring
26. Lawyer fully qualified to be admitted to the bar in your jurisdiction with proven post-qualification experience in a multinational company or law firm with project, construction, or procurement background.
27. Several years of relevant professional experience demonstrating your ability to successfully manage legal risks in complex environments and act as a trusted advisor to management.
28. Excellent leadership skills fostering the Siemens Energy leadership essentials, with a passion for leading, developing, and motivating teams. Deep knowledge of contract law and international contract practices.
29. Strong business acumen with the focus on operational applicability and drive to enable business transactions and lead change in a complex environment.
30. Excellent communication skills alongside intercultural sensitivity and competence.
31. High motivation to work collaboratively in a global environment. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively; and solid understanding of matrix organizations, including multiple reporting lines and team structures.
