What you will be doing
* You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of RFE Airframe F&DT Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:
* Analyse composite & hybrid structures for Fatigue and Damage Tolerance according to validated methods.
* Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capability guidelines.
* Define, interpret and validate tests. Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
* Provide input to design for the creation of drawings for manufacture and support to other functions (e.g. production, customer support) as needed.
* Provide stress analysis for the repair / acceptance of damaged structures.
* Monitor / guide / support Sub-contracting firms providing structure analysis work.
* Typical tools and technologies include Python, ISAMI, Hypermesh, NASGRO.
* Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support growth into the position, with activities defined in the structure analysis function, PET or Customer Support knowledge, and FAL visits.
* By the end of the 2-year development programme you will have progressed into the position of RFE Airframe F&DT Engineer.
What we look for
* A degree level or equivalent within Engineering / Aeronautical, Mechanical or Materials.
* Demonstrable interest in resolving technical issues; knowledge of Nastran, Hyperworks, Python would be beneficial.
* Strong verbal and written communication in English.
* A desire to work in a collaborative team environment focused on driving future innovation.
* The ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
* Security clearance: This position requires clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
