Position Overview Morgan Latif has been exclusively retained by a leading general packaging client to appoint a Regional Director of Operations for their sites in Italy and Spain. The company is transitioning the southern cluster from a relationship‐heavy legacy style to a data‐centric, high performance team environment.
Scope of Responsibility Regional Strategy & Transformation
Translate corporate targets (EBIT, RONA, ESG) into regional execution plans
Build an integrated, end‐to‐end value chain across all sites
Drive shift from site‐based to unified regional operating model
Lead footprint optimisation, site specialisation, and automation strategy
Own regional CapEx roadmap for long‐term competitiveness
Operational Excellence
Deliver TPM, OEE, and bottleneck improvement across plants
Standardise operations into a single European model
Lead Industry4.0 adoption (AI predictive maintenance, robotics, automation)
Supply Chain & Cost Optimisation
Implement centralised planning across supply chain and production
Optimise product portfolio using 80/20 margin focus
Reduce logistics inefficiencies and inventory costs
Desired Profile Master's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field + MBA is preferable.
A leader who can build and coach plant managers across the various sites.
Must have lived and worked in multiple countries. Multilingualism is a prerequisite (English + Italian/Spanish).
Location The role can be based across Italy and Spain.
