Job Outline :
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop business relationships with current and potential customers to generate and grow bookings and billings. This involves effective communication, positive negotiation, leveraging all opportunities, quoting profitably, and demonstrating the company’s capabilities.
What the role involves :
* Qualify allocated accounts to determine their potential and the appropriate sales channel as directed by the line manager.
* Meet or exceed targets set.
* Implement the mission statement and the six pillars go-to-market strategy.
* Undertake regular account visits, with a minimum of six visits per week, to present the company's unique sales proposition and create opportunities for quoting or receiving the bill of materials.
* Ensure customer profiles and all activity information are accurate within CRM, including visit reports, technical opportunities, and follow-up on opportunity discovery.
* Breakthrough new accounts utilizing support from the self, line manager, technical team, marketing, and corporate support.
* Produce a weekly call plan in the defined corporate format.
* Identify and develop design opportunities through support from the Technical team, enabling sales of designed products.
* Review the quote dashboard daily to maximize potential while maintaining data integrity.
* Conduct block diagram reviews regularly with the FAE, line manager, and focus suppliers as required.
Candidate Requirements :
* Proven sales track record within the company or other electronic distribution businesses, demonstrating consistent high sales and a focused account base.
* Preferably educated to a degree standard.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Commercially astute, highly organized, and self-motivated with a focus on achieving results.
* High accuracy, able to work under pressure, and attentive to detail.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the electronics distribution industry; current market and supplier knowledge is an advantage.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
