The Opportunity
Save the Children is seeking an experienced and dynamic Climate Technical Advisor – GCF Supported Programme to provide high-level technical leadership in the implementation of climate-resilient health interventions under a Green Climate Fund (GCF) supported initiative.
This role supports the strengthening of climate change adaptation within health systems, ensuring that interventions are evidence-based, technically sound, and effectively integrated into national and district-level planning and implementation. The position will work closely with government counterparts, technical advisors, and programme teams to enhance climate resilience and strengthen early warning and response systems.

In addition, the postholder will play a key role in mentoring and building the capacity of local technical assistants through structured learning‑by‑doing approaches, strengthening national capacity for sustainable climate‑resilient programming.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
