The position of a Special Education Clerk is available immediately at East Central ISD. The deadline for submitting an application is until the position is filled. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Organize and manage routine work activities. To provide assistance with data collection and record management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform regular office routines and practices. Complete routine forms and ARD scheduling. Maintain appropriate special education records. Request, copy and file special education records as needed. Assist SLP, LSSP, and Special Education Facilitators at designated campuses on a periodic basis as needed. Travel to various campuses. Assist with Medicaid completion. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High School diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word processing, typing, editing, and organizational skills Experienced people skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Good telephone etiquette Experience: One-year Clerical experience preferred Must perform assigned duties with a minimum of supervision EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals, instructional equipment WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Prolonged sitting, repetitive hand motions, prolonged use of a computer.
