Safety Specialist, Health and Safety M/F

In this role, you’ll implement vital safety measures to ensure everyone at your location works in a safe and healthy environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a difference daily. Key job responsibilities
* Monitor site performance against KPIs and develop plans to improve processes
* Establish workplace health and safety programs and coordinate training sessions
* Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to allocate resources effectively for high-risk areas
* Conduct audits to ensure compliance with health and safety laws and implement risk mitigation solutions
A day in the life
You’ll be based on-site at one of our fulfillment centers, sortation centers, or delivery stations. Being on-site allows you to closely monitor processes, ensure compliance, identify potential issues, and find opportunities for improvement. You’ll work with various teams to understand risks, collect data, and develop safer, smarter work practices. Additionally, you’ll organize training and programs to promote safety standards.
About the team
The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team ensures our employees’ mental and physical well-being. We collaborate with managers, staff, and local authorities to comply with Amazon policies and legal regulations, maintaining safe workplaces. Opportunities within the team range from Health and Safety Technicians to Program Managers, all contributing to our safety and well-being standards through various projects, including equipment inspections, process assessments, and safety design improvements.
Minimum qualifications
* Experience in workplace health & safety (WHS) or related field
* Technical diploma in Risk Prevention (including specializations in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, or Psychosociology) following Spanish regulations
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
* Knowledge of Spanish Environment, Health, and Safety legislation
* Proficiency in Spanish and English
Preferred experience
* Experience with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies
* Experience managing environmentally conscious initiatives
