Are you a Data Product Manager who can lead data and AI initiatives end-to-end, while working closely with engineering teams to deliver real business impact?
This role sits within a large-scale enterprise data and analytics function withing the Energy space, focused on building a portfolio of data products that drive smarter decision-making across the organisation.
The team is highly data-driven and is now expanding into AI and GenAI use cases, including chatbot-style solutions, making this a good fit for someone who can operate across both traditional data platforms and emerging AI capabilities.
Your Role as a Data Product Manager:
You will operate at the intersection of product management, delivery, and portfolio oversight -owning the lifecycle of data and AI products from definition through to execution.
This is not a purely strategic role. You'll be expected to shape the roadmap, work closely with engineering teams, and manage stakeholders across a complex enterprise environment.
You'll typically oversee 2-3 data or AI initiatives at a time, ranging from AWS-based data platforms to real-time analytics dashboards and AI-driven solutions.
What You'll Do:
* Define and drive the vision, roadmap, and strategy for data and AI products
* Translate complex business processes (manufacturing, energy, operations) into clear product deliverables
* Identify opportunities for new products, features, and improvements through stakeholder engagement and analysis
* Work closely with engineers, architects, and data teams to deliver scalable solutions on AWS
* Oversee delivery of data platforms, pipelines, dashboards, and AI/GenAI use cases (including chatbot-style applications)
* Define success metrics and ensure products deliver measurable business value
* Manage product backlogs, priorities, and roadmap execution across multiple initiatives
* Handle stakeholder alignment, including challenging conversations and conflicting priorities
* Resolve delivery blockers across teams to ensure consistent progress
* Monitor product performance and iterate based on feedback and usage
What You'll Bring:
* Strong experience as a Data Product Manager or in a similar hybrid product/delivery role
* Proven experience working with AWS-based data platforms (data pipelines, analytics, dashboards)
* Experience working on AI/GenAI or chatbot-style solutions
* Strong understanding of data engineering and analytics concepts
* Ability to quickly understand complex business processes and translate them into structured plans
* Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including handling pushback and driving alignment
* Confident, structured, and execution-focused approach to delivery
* Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
* Familiarity with agile tools and practices (JIRA, backlog management, roadmap planning)
