Overview
Genetic Counsellor Spain — Valencia (Remote or Hybrid in Valencia offices). Part of the scientific support team in Spain, within the EMEIA region. Scientific advisors and certified genetic counsellors are a referral point for customers and the sales team during all steps of the IVF journey.
Responsibilities
- Provide genetic telecounseling services to patients for genetic tests offered by Igenomix, including pre- and post-test counselling for PGT-M (single gene disorders), PGT-A (aneuploidy screening), POC, and carrier screening.
- Serve as an internal expert and resource for the Igenomix laboratory.
- Provide support and expertise to referring physicians and other clinical staff, including review and discussion of patient cases, in-service trainings, and educational webinars.
- Participate in regular team meetings with other genetic counsellors to enhance expertise.
- Assist in the development of internal protocols to provide the best care to patients undergoing fertility treatments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Master degree in Genetic Counselling.
- Experience in pre-conception and/or assisted reproduction therapy genetic counselling is desired.
- Empathy, patience, and respect for patients and their situations.
- Superior writing ability, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of a quickly growing company.
- Ability to communicate effectively with health care providers and patients.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the Igenomix team.
- Comfort with a variety of technical platforms.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
