The legal role described is within the global UBO Legal Team, based in Barcelona, supporting various sustainability and supply chain initiatives, including contracts related to soft oils, funding, decarbonization, and logistics. The position reports to the GC Home Care Products in Singapore, with a skip-line to the GC UBO in London and Singapore.
This role involves supervising external and internal legal supports, managing complex matters, providing business-oriented legal advice, and supporting global projects. The candidate should be a mature legal professional with significant experience, supervisory skills, and a passion for ESG matters.
Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, supervising legal resources, advising on legal risks, and promoting collaboration within the legal team and with business partners. The role requires flexibility, cross-cultural skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Key qualifications include a law degree, bar qualification, 12+ years of legal advisory experience, strong English drafting skills, and familiarity with ESG, sustainability, and commodity markets, especially palm and soy. The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
