O Castro British School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher to join our team: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate English lessons in line with the British curriculum, ensuring strong coverage of reading, writing, speaking and listening, grammar, vocabulary, and literature. Teach across secondary, supporting pupils in developing secure literacy skills, confidence in communication, and a love of reading. Regularly assess, monitor, and record pupil progress in English, providing clear feedback and reporting to parents and school leadership. Contribute to English curriculum planning, the development of high‑quality teaching resources, and the continuous improvement of literacy provision across the Primary school. Support enrichment activities such as reading clubs, storytelling events, school plays, book fairs, or themed literacy days. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes positive behaviour, wellbeing, and active engagement with English. REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. C1/C2 level of English. Degree in Education, English, or a related field. Experience teaching English in a primary school setting.
