EU Business Development Director - CMO Custom Synthesis

Job Summary:
This role involves identifying, quantifying, and capturing new business opportunities for manufacturing services related to starting materials, intermediates, and APIs in the European pharma markets. The position reports to the Senior Director of CMO Sales.
Responsibilities:
* Proactively develop new business to meet and exceed revenue targets and KPIs.
* Collaborate with Sales and Management to strategize and implement sales and marketing plans.
* Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
* Maintain an understanding of the company's capabilities, capacity, and the external marketplace.
* Engage potential customers to generate inquiries for manufacturing services.
* Prepare and deliver quotations collaboratively.
* Negotiate sales agreements and purchase orders.
* Manage projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Support marketing initiatives through market research, materials distribution, and trade show participation.
Qualifications:
* Degree in science, preferably in synthetic organic chemistry; PhD is advantageous.
* At least 4 years of pharmaceutical industry experience related to intermediates, APIs, and development pipelines.
* Over 3 years of business development, sales, and marketing experience.
* Strong commercial awareness and service-oriented mindset.
* Proven success in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
* Excellent relationship-building skills and a team-oriented approach.
