Full-time Research Assistant I (holding the functional title of Data Analyst) in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine
(Ref.: to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Qualifications
* A Master's degree in Medicine, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
* Evidence of academic excellence in undergraduate / postgraduate studies.
* Strong written and spoken proficiency in Chinese and English (e.g., TOEFL/IELTS).
* Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in programming (e.g., R/SAS/STATA).
* Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible for research projects in health and health services, pharmacoepidemiology and epidemiological studies on non-communicable diseases using population-based cohorts in Hong Kong and overseas. Key tasks include:
* Conducting literature reviews.
* Cleaning and analyzing data.
* Assisting in the preparation of academic publications and reports for funded projects.
* Performing other tasks as required by the team.
The appointee will have ample opportunities to collaborate with professorial and research staff, gaining valuable experience in advanced statistical programming and big data cohort analysis to develop a research career.
