Responsibilities:
Consolidate inputs from commercial and regional teams to develop and release
mid- and long-term demand forecasts for localized EU parts and non-EU parts
(including Thailand and Korea).
Convert sales forecasts and system requirements into material demand plans
and release material requirements to component suppliers and outsourced
manufacturing suppliers.
Coordinate supplier deliveries based on OEM production schedules to ensure
timely material supply for manufacturing operations.
Maintain part master data, safety stock parameters, and related system settings
to ensure order accuracy and healthy inventory levels.
Release material orders according to system requirements to support production
needs in a timely manner.
Monitor daily material supply status and track transportation progress of localized
parts to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries.
Analyze and manage inventory coverage days and dynamically adjust safety
stock levels to maintain reasonable inventory levels.
Track delivery progress of critical components, identify supply risks proactively,
and support production continuity through timely escalation and coordination.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve supply risks caused by severe
weather, traffic restrictions, urgent shortages, or other unexpected events.
Resolve supply exceptions including delays, shortages, and quantity
discrepancies to ensure uninterrupted production supply.
Manage supplier logistics performance on a daily basis and coordinate supplier
inquiries related to orders and deliveries.
Coordinate engineering change implementation with suppliers and manage
old/new part transitions to ensure smooth execution of material changes.
Manage parts transition during model year changes and vehicle replacement
projects while minimizing obsolete inventory risks.
Analyze warehouse and subcontractor inventory to balance old and new parts
supply during product transitions.
Establish and maintain effective coordination interfaces between subcontracting
plants and demand planning teams.
Prepare and provide regular material status reports and supply analysis reports.
Participate in annual supplier performance evaluations and support continuous
supplier logistics performance improvement.
Support other department-related tasks and projects as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics Management, Supply Chain
Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
5+ years of experience in material planning and tracking;
proven experience in
global material planning, order release, and delivery tracking is a strong plus.
Familiar with production and delivery models of automotive components, as well
as material demand and pull-based supply systems of automotive OEMs. Good understanding of subcontracting processing order management and
related operational processes. Familiar with BOM structures, engineering change
management, and part transition handling.
Experience with SAP MRP is preferred.
Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills, with the ability to
independently drive issue resolution.
Strong logical thinking and data analysis capabilities.
High resilience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced automotive
manufacturing environment.
Fluent Spanish for daily communication with local subcontracting plants and
suppliers.
Business-level English for systems operation, reporting, and communication with
