Unilever The LDS (Logistics Development Specialist) main responsibility is looking for efficiencies opportunities in our logistics network. This is performed by monitoring of 3PLs KPIs (service, cost, continuous development and sustainability). The LDS are the process engineer figure for logistics. They will create a trustful relationship with our 3PLs and internal stakeholders to drive efficiencies development agenda forward. The LDS will report to the Logistic Operations Manager of the specific type of network. 3PLP’s, CS, Planning and Ultralogistics are the most important internal stakeholders for the LDS. The LDS has a key role in challenging status quo, always looking for ways to improve, streamline, make “lean” logistics by analysing, evaluating and checking for inside and outside solutions to implement. Responsibilities: Support building logistics capabilities for sustainable competitive advantage. Partner with the LOMgr to monitor and analyse the logistics network performance both in terms of costs (eur/plt, dc/tp, etc) and service to look for improvement opportunities. Propose efficiency solutions that drive cost savings benefit. Connect with Central teams (Ultralogistics, Hub, capabilities team) to continuously benchmark solutions and performance, and hence challenge operation status quo. Propose solutions to improve operational efficiency and service to our customers. Continual monitoring of KPIs. Responsible for all logistics development in the MSO: this includes the warehouses, hauliers, concessionaire customers and some local exceptional flows. Manage relationships between 3PL hauliers and 3PL warehouses to ensure optimal collaboration in new projects and initiatives. Lead the capability development agenda along with LOM to keep the “edge sharp” among the team. Document & check contract clauses to ensure they comply with our request and needs. Key Skills Required: Very good analytical skills. Knowledge of logistics and customer service processes Knowledge of warehousing and distribution Knowledge of SAP, Transport management systems and WMS. Good knowledge of Excel. Project management skills Communication skills Key competencies required: Ability to continuously challenge status quo. High influencing skills Bias for action Customer orientation Team player Key experience and qualifications required: Knowledge of both administrative and physical logistics flows Bachelor’s degree, preferably Engineering. Ideally Logistics field. At least 3 years of relevant work experience Preferably experience in the FMCG business or Logistics Providers Languages: Spanish, English (fluent).
