As Head of Software Engineering for IDA Pro, you will lead and mentor a team of highly skilled engineers, driving innovation in one of the most advanced binary analysis tools in the world.
The IDA Pro team is at the core of Hex-Rays’ mission to empower security researchers, reverse engineers, and vulnerability analysts. Our flagship product, IDA Pro, is the industry-standard disassembler and decompiler used globally by professionals to analyze executable code, uncover vulnerabilities, and understand unknown binaries.
From malware analysts to software vendors, our users rely on IDA to gain insight into the most complex software in existence.
In this role, you will lead a talented group of 20 passionate software engineers divided into different squads responsible for evolving IDA Pro so it remains the best at its job. You’ll focus on architecture, performance, code quality, and cross-platform support, while fostering a high standard of technical excellence across the team.
Our stack is primarily built with C and C++, and leverages Qt, Python, and a range of internal low-level tooling. As a technical leader, you’ll remain closely connected to the code and development process, providing strategic guidance while staying hands-on where needed.
Your focus will be on people, product, and engineering quality. We are looking for a deeply technical leader with a strong background in C/C++, who thrives on building robust systems and enjoys working at the intersection of software and cybersecurity.
