Role OverviewResponsible for developing and managing a network of distribution partners across mainland Europe and beyond, with a focus on new business acquisition and strategic account management. This includes identifying, onboarding, and enabling partners to effectively represent the company’s products in key markets. The role is vital in expanding market reach, supporting sales growth, and aligning the distributor network with internal commercial objectives through long-term relationship management.
Responsibilities
Distribution Network Development:
Identify and target potential distribution partners across Europe in sectors such as infrastructure, utilities, and construction.
Lead onboarding for new distributors, including training and performance setup.
Equip partners with product knowledge, marketing support, and tools for success.
Sales & Customer Relationship Management:
Achieve growth across all product groups and meet sales targets.
Manage key accounts at national depots/offices, ensuring targets are met.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
Identify major projects in Europe and work towards product specification inclusion.
Utilize call log systems to track activity and manage opportunities.
Participate in industry networking events and exhibitions.
Address customer complaints professionally and promptly.
Business Development:
Support the Sales Director with tenders and major projects.
Collaborate with internal teams to target appropriate customers and opportunities.
Identify and attend relevant exhibitions for networking and business opportunities.
Gather and share customer feedback to improve business efficiency and service quality.
Monitor competitors from a sales perspective and share insights.
Follow up on new inquiries and prospects.
Participate in sales meetings and reporting activities.
Reports & Administration:
Complete monthly summaries for business reviews.
Share success stories and major wins with the team.
Manage personal administrative tasks efficiently.
Person Specification
Proven experience in managing sales/distributor networks across European markets.
Fluency in English and Spanish;
strong working knowledge of French.
Ability to build relationships at various business levels.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales cycles in construction/infrastructure sectors is beneficial.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Self-motivated with strong planning and time management skills.
Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
